Josiah has still been wonderful. He more or less only squawks when he is hungry or needs a diaper changed. We are truly blessed with a wonderful child. Jason
Aliases/Nicknames: Big Moose (sometimes Little Moose), Buster, Sweet Little Birdie (Shannon's favorite), Squirmy, and Buddy.
Milestones Achieved:
In October 2008, he is now rolling over front-to-back and back-to-front. Verbally, he says "Gui, Gui, Gui."
In November 2008, he is babbling a lot more. He also likes to sit up a lot more, but he still needs support.
In December 2008, he is just about ready to crawl. Rolling multiple times across a room is a cinch. Almost sitting up on own. He can sit up with supports.
In January 2009, he is getting even more mobile and chatty. All the gates are up and ready. He started eating hard foods on the first and now has pasty poops. Yucky!
In April 2009, he is standing up with support of us or tables, but he can't pull himself up yet. He is still crawling like a maniac, but still does the stomach drag. He is also eating first finger foods like cereal along with his other more ground up foods. And, if you can believe it, even more chatty than in January.
In June 2009, he says "da da" and "ma ma" a lot. He stands with support everywhere, but does not try to step yet. He is the speedster when it comes to crawling and he loves to feed himself, drinking from a sippy cup.
This summer (2009) he started walking and is now all over the place. Josiah is a very pleasant and happy child. He more or less eats everything that mom or dad eats now, making dinners easy to prepare.
In January 2010, Josiah is now adding words to his vocabulary daily. My favorites are daddy (for obvious reasons), mommie, doggie, kitty, more, and Jesus.
In April 2010, Josiah now says two-word phrases. A couple nights ago he said, "Bye-bye daddy." He loves being outside with the warmer weather. He writes chicken scratch with sidewalk chalk and loves to blow bubbles.
In July 2010, Josiah loves to swim. He even started swimming lessons. He can float on his own with the aid of arm floats. He puts his face in the water and blows bubbles. He started saying some complete sentences.
In February 2011, Josiah is still working on potty training. He will go to the bathroom on the potty, but he still also uses a diaper. His vocabulary is stupendous. He is using more 2-syllable words every day. He loves floor puzzles (25-30 pieces).
In August 2011, Josiah is learning his numbers and letters. His favorite number is 7. His favorite colors are green, white, and blue. Some of his favorite activities are playing in his sand box and playing with his matchbox cars.
